He said Zimbabwe was the strongest contender and the favorite to top the group but the Zebras upstaged them, a move he said showed that there was a lot of football potential in Botswana.
Mohapi stated that he was impressed by the performance of Uniao Flamengo Santos striker, Mogakolodi Tsotso Ngele whom he described as mature and could easily fit into the South African premier league setup.
Another Young Zebras player that caught Mohapis eye was Notwanes Galagwe Moyana but he said he needed to further assess him to determine whether he was a premier or Mvela league material.
He challenged Botswana companies to pump money into football so that players could turn professional.
He said if the companies could sponsor soccer players, the players would be motivated and urged the football association to organise more competitions for the players for them to be equal to the challenge when they have to represent Botswana in such regional encounters.
Mohapi advised that investing in the junior teams was important because it aided the continuity of the senior national team.
He promised to visit the country in the near future to assess the performance of Ngele, Galagwe, and other players in the premier league. BOPA
