Reached by the Sentinel on Monday, Goodwin said he would not comment on the split.

Yahoo! Sports first reported on Sunday that Dwight Howard had fired Aaron Goodwin, Howard’s agent since he became the overall No. 1 draft choice in 2004.

Magic small forward Matt Barnes told the Sentinel that he was aware of Howard’s exit from the Goodwin camp. Barnes is also represented by Goodwin and said he would not change his affiliation with Goodwin because Howard left him.

“Yeah, Dwight’s business has nothing to do with me. I’m good with Aaron,” Barnes said.

The Magic went through a light workout for Game 4. They are looking to close out the Bobcats tonight. Orlando leads the series 3-0 and will be looking for the franchise’s first-ever sweep in a best-of-seven format.

“This is business. We came here to get two (victories),” Barnes said. “We’re going out here tonight to win it. You don’t want to give a team any hope, any light. Our mindset is to close it out.”

Vince Carter said the mood at shootaround was all business.

“Looking at shootraound, everyone was focused on what has to be done, and that’s a good sign,” Carter said.

If the Magic can end the series, they likely wouldn’t play in the second round until Sunday, at the earliest.

“That’s always great, especially for some of the older guys on the team,” Carter said. “You have an appreciation of some extra days off. But this is what it’s all about, to possibly close out a game and get a few days’ rest.”
