Most of their clients aren’t even deserving of the contracts they have signed. In fact, I personally don’t believe any athlete should be making the type of money they are now a days. But there is no denying that these guys know how to get the job done not only for their clients but themselves also.

None have had to worry about losing their clientele or competing to land the top prospects. Well, that is all about to change. They will need to start looking over their shoulder because there is a new sheriff in town and his name is Josh Danz.

He is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University Law School and first in his class. For those of you that have never heard of this school, it’s an upcoming Law School in the state of Florida.

Sports has been a part of his life ever since he could remember. Growing up he has been involved in the sports industry thanks to his close friend Larry Beinfest, the President, Baseball Operations of the Florida Marlins. From what I have heard from certain sources is that he was a big reason the Marlins decided to make the deal to land All-Star shortstop Hanley Ramirez.

Now that he is out of school, he wants a new challenge and that’s becoming a top-tier Sports Agent. This is a challenge that he will certainly conquer, and one of those conquests are taking over the reigns as the top-dog as an Agent in the NFL and MLB. That’s right, he is taking on all sports at once. No matter if it’s the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and the MLS.

The biggest name in his way is Drew Rosenhaus. Rosenhaus has no problem playing dirty and doing whatever he can to get the best deal possible. For example, remember when Terrell Owens wanted to play for the Philadelphia Eagles and his agent at the time David Joseph neglected to file to the league that he wanted to void the final three years of his contract with the 49ers and become a free agent. When that took place, Owens fired his agent and hired Rosenhaus. At that point Rosenhaus filed a grievance and they faced the NFLPA and demanded that Owens become a free agent so he can play for the Eagles instead of playing for the Ravens who he was previously traded to. Everyone was disgusted at how the NFLPA rolled over and played dead for the benefit of Owens.

This is the type of competition Danz has to go against, but he already has a leg up on Rosenhaus and the rest of the NFL agents. As of right now there are six of the top draft prospects that have jumped on the Danz bandwagon and selected him as their agent. Those names include Nick Fairley, Da’Quan Bowers, Blaine Gabbert, AJ Green, Marcell Darius, Adrian Clayborn and the dark-horse Christian Ponder. A few had some good things about their new agent.

“He is down to earth and a quality guy,” said Bowers. “I definitely made the right choice with him because he will make sure I am not disappointed when the deal is done.”

“Best Madden player I have ever seen,” said Darius.

“By far the best agent out there for me,” Patterson said. “Not to mention he even said I should have won the Heisman Trophy.”

Everything seems to be headed in the right direction for the young agent. His future is just beginning, but it’s a bright one after acquiring these star-studded prospect. With clients like these it’s only a matter of time before everyone decides to join the Danz corporation. By the time the 2012 NFL draft rolls around you will be saying Rosenhaus who?
