Nabokov signed a four-year deal with St. Petersburg SKA after going 44-16-10 with a 2.43 goals-against average and a .933 save percentage with the Sharks last season.
He played in 22 games for St. Petersburg before leaving the team for family reasons. He had a 3.02 goals-against average and an .888 save percentage in the KHL.
